【Story】

Noel, a botanical researcher, lives in the forest. He is Bear canines (bear-dog hybrids) and has small wings, but cannot fly. He also wears a tie and goggles, and yearns to be a human, which he has seen in books. One day, Bichel, who wears all black, moves into the neighborhood. At first, she is creeped out by him, but as they spend time together, they gradually become friends. One day, however, they start to become paranoid about each other's behavior, and their good relationship gradually begins to fall apart.

【explanation】

I aimed to create a new kind of story using painting.
I build a story like a film director, and then take one scene from it and turn it into a painting.
I care about which moment I choose, from what angle I show it, and whether that one scene can have many meanings.

For example, in “Noel & Bishele,” I was strongly influenced by the Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni.
In his films, just changing the angle or point of view can change the meaning of a scene.

For example, imagine a car left in the desert.
If you see it from the back, it just looks like a broken car.
But if you see it from the front, you notice bullet holes on the hood, and you realize there was a shooting.
The same scene can have a very different meaning depending on the point of view.
I am very interested in this kind of uncertainty and how people see things differently.

In the same way, if a person is driving a car, the scene can change by showing their face, the view from the window, or another car following them.
By moving the point of view, one scene can have many layers.
Even a simple scene can include suspense, social themes, and personal feelings.
